Who we are - our history.
Although we’ve only been in the village of Culbokie since 2012, the Culbokie Church Centre has been part of life on the Black Isle since 13th Century when the parish churches of Resolis and Urquhart were established. So we’ve been around a long time and weathered the changes brought about by the Scottish Reformation, the Jacobite Rising, the Highland Clearances, the Disruption, two World Wars, and other events that are part of Scottish, and particularly, Highland, history. As is often the case, and as time passed, people moved, and as farm and village life changed, these congregations unified; eventually becoming the Culbokie Church Centre. Today we’re a mix of individuals and families whose lives and careers take them around the Black Isle, and Inverness, and elsewhere in the Highlands.
